PL Series In Line Gearbox with PulleyThe all new PL Series planetary gearbox is a servo compatible straight cut planetary designed for belt and pulley applications. A rotary output flange allows for the connection of a pulley that rides over the gear housing, that has a net effect of decreasing the length that the motor extends from the axis.
The PL Series features a carbon steel rotary output flange that integrates directly to the belt drive pulley. The planetary sections are housed in a carbon steel housing that has the internal gear machined directly in to it for greatest concentricity. Full complement needle bearings provide the highest accuracy and rigidity through the gearbox. The aluminium input adapter housings allow for a wide range of motor sizes while keeping weight low. Sealed bearings at the output and a labyrinth seal at the input keep solid and liquid contaminants out and encapsulate the synthetic grease lubrication and limit drag. The right angle PLR series features a 1:1 spiral bevel gear for the smoothest, most efficient, quiet operation.
Three frame sizes, each with 16 ratios in both in line and right angle versions, are available. Accuracy levels are down to 6 arc minutes for inline and 10 arc minutes for right angle.
The PL series is available in and in line version and a right angle configuration. Frame sizes available are PL/PLR070, PL/PLR090, PL/PLR120. Pulleys are available in AT, HTD, 5GT, and 8YU with black Manganese finish and Nickel Plate finish.
