Apex Dynamics USA, announces the extension of its warranty coverage term to five years (60 months) from its original two years (24 months) for all PII series products.

The change was driven by the optimizations implemented when the first release P Series was redesigned.  The improvements, enabled by the latest advanced production capabilities implemented at Apex Dynamics, have produced a gearbox more accurate, with lower friction, lower inertia, smoother and quieter operation, and decreased the size and weight.

"Based on the product improvements our internal longevity tests and the performance of  PII units operating in the field, we see no reason to not have the same warranty period of our high precision helical planetary products extended to our economy series, " Phil Shaw, Vice President of Sales and Marketing said in a discussion on the change.  The change will also cover units already in operation in the field.

The extension of the economy series warranty to five years complements the industry leading five year warranty of the precision helical series, which includes shaft seals.

The PII Series Economy Precision Planetary Gearboxes are the second generation redesign of the P Series.  The PII Series are available in four output configurations, two round tap face mounts, one metric flange mount and one metric tap flange mount.  There are five frame sizes available in each output style and reduction ratios range for 3:1 to 100:1.

Right Angle PEII Series Planetary Gearbox

All of  PII Series are also now available in a right angle version PIIR.  The PIIR Series incorporate a carburized and ground spiral bevel gear that provide high accuracy and smooth operation.  The PIIR Series are also available in five frame sizes in each output configuration, and reduction ratios of 3:1 to 100:1.  For more information go to www.apexdynamicsusa.com and look for the shortcuts on the bottom of the page.
